Om oss · About us

A small channel about the Swedish way of keeping a home.

The Swedish Way is a small channel and publishing project about sorting belongings, buying once, staying warm through the dark months and the Swedish idea of lagom: not too much, not too little. Many of our viewers are over sixty, and many watch on a television.

Anders

Hi, I am Anders

I live in a small red timber house in the Swedish countryside. A few years ago I cleared my father-in-law’s apartment, and I got a lot wrong. These videos and this guide are what I wish I had known before I started.

What we make

Short videos on practical Swedish habits for the home, and one guide that puts the most useful of them in order: The Swedish Way, a gentle, practical guide to döstädning, with a printable workbook.

Så kollar vi · How we check facts

Three steps before anything goes in the book.

  1. Find the source

Each fact comes from an official or primary public source, not from another blog.

  2. Check it again

A second check against the source. Where a rule varies by place, the guide says “confirm”.

  3. Date it

Every source is listed at the back of the guide with the date we checked it.

What we do not do

  • No fake reviews, countdown timers or invented “was” prices.
  • We never ask you to write down passwords or account numbers.

Write to us at support@theswedishway.shop. A person answers, usually within two working days.
